CULLMAN INVITATIONAL: Cold Springs claims 1A-3A titles; Cullman boys finish 2nd in 4A-7A field

Cold Springs stormed to team crowns at Saturday’s Cullman Invitational (Class 1A-3A), while Cullman’s boys snagged second in the large-school division (4A-7A) during the annual track and field meet at Oliver Woodard Stadium.

The Lady Eagles finished 50 points ahead of runner-up Brindlee Mountain — St. Bernard and Vinemont placed third and sixth, respectively — while the Blue and Gold boys bested the Saints 145-94. Vinemont (eighth) and Holly Pond (ninth) rounded out the field standings locally.

The Black and Gold — second only to James Clemens — bettered third-place Scottsboro by 30 squad points, while West Point notched an eighth-place showing. Fairview ended the meet 12th overall.

Cullman’s girls (fifth), the Lady Warriors (seventh) and the Lady Aggies (10th) all had solid outings as well in 4A-7A competition.

See below for a list of top-eight individual performers across all classifications. (Note: All results were obtained via Alabama Runners and weren’t separated into 1A-3A and 4A-7A groupings.) For example, a second-place performance from a 3A athlete might not translate into him or her claiming a top-eight overall finish in that particular event. For complete times and distances, visit al.milesplit.com.
