COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Elliott shows off range in UAH’s GSC debut
Chayse Elliott filled up the stat sheet in UAH’s 74-65 conference-opening win at West Florida on Wednesday.
The Cold Springs product needed just 15 minutes off the bench to tally eight points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. The redshirt sophomore was 3 of 4 from the field — his only miss was a long-range attempt — and sank his first two free throw tries of the season.
The Chargers (4-2, 1-0) will continue Gulf South Conference play Saturday at Valdosta State.
UAH’s women also kicked off its GSC schedule in style on Wednesday, defeating West Florida 65-58. Cullman alum Baylee Johnson had three points for the Chargers (4-1, 1-0).
