Hundreds of spectators turned out for the City of Morris’ annual Christmas parade on Saturday.

The city gave awards for the top three floats. Bloomingfields Unique Boutique of Morris won first place; Mr. and Mrs. Hadder’s antique fire truck won second place; and the Morris Beautification Board won third place.

There was also a car show during the Christmas Festival. Kenneth Wolfe won first place with his 1969 Ford Galaxy 500; Ronnie Turner won second place with his 1963 Impala Supersport; and Joe Yates took third with his 1992 Ford F150.

Proceeds from the parade are to be used for the city’s holiday charity, “Families Helping Families.”
