G’dale testing hydrants; CHS performing ‘Alice in Wonderland’
The Gardendale Fire Department will be testing fire hydrants around the city over the next few weeks, according to fire marshal Rick Smith. He said some residents’ water may have a discoloration when coming out of faucets, but that running the water source for a few seconds should make it run clear.
Relay for Life team “Ren’s Flavor” will be hosting a benefit yard sale this Friday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. at 3105 57th Avenue North in Fultondale. Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
The Corner High School Theater Department will present a stage production of “Alice in Wonderland,” based on the novel of the same name. Performances are March 25 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and March 26 at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door or reserved at www.cornertheatre.org.
The Kimberly Senior Center will have a Pancake breakfast this Friday at 8 a.m. A $2 donation is requested. There will karaoke later in the day. Everyone is welcome.
