(Update) Firefighters leave Inland Buildings; cause under investigation

No injuries were reported in a fire at Inland Buildings on U.S. 31 South Tuesday.

The fire was extinguished by Cullman firefighters before 10 a.m.

“The fire is out and salvage and overhaul is complete. The building has been turned back over to the owner. The fire cause is still under investigation,” Fire Chief Brian Bradberry said.

The fire started in a paint booth. Employees were evacuated from the building when the fire started around 9 a.m., Bradberry said.

The affected area is in a building in the rear of Inland’s facilities.
