Mortimer Jordan is suddenly on a roll.

After an iffy start to the season, the Blue Devils now find themselves the winners of six straight after sweeping a Saturday tri-series, with a 7-4 win over McAdory and an 8-3 victory over West Point.

In doing so, the Devils proved they can come from behind, After being down 3-0 early, Jordan scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Skylar Myrick’s sacrifice fly attempt was dropped by the Warrior right fielder, bringing in the two go-ahead runs. Nathan McIntosh and Jesse Stanley also hit run-scoring singles.

Reliever Ryan Densmore got the win with no hits and five strikeouts in three innings’ work.

In the opening game, Jordan avenged an earlier mercy-rule loss to McAdory. The Devils got out to a quick lead with four runs in the bottom of the first, led by a two-run double by Jamey Hammock.

Starting pitcher Dylan Matthews got his first win of the season. Reliever Skylar Myrick went four innings, striking out three.
