Mississippi teen seriously injured in two-car wreck on U.S. 278
A young woman from Mississippi was flown to Huntsville Hospital after a two-vehicle wreck Wednesday night that also hurt two Cullman residents.
Berlin firefighters and Cullman Emergency Medical Services personnel were dispatched to the scene around 6 p.m., along with Alabama State Troopers.
The driver of one vehicle, Alyssa Hallmark, 18, of Mooreeville, Mississippi, was listed in fair condition in the surgical intensive care unit Thursday morning, according to a hospital spokeswoman. Troopers said she was wearing a seatbelt.
Troopers also reported the driver of the second vehicle, Stephanie Bullock, 35, and her passenger, David Fulmer, 7, were also injured in the wreck. The Times is working to find out their respective conditions.
According to emergency dispatch reports, the wreck took down a power pole, and the two occupants of one vehicle made it out, but a female occupant of the other vehicle was still inside, unconscious but breathing.
