PALS annual cleanup Saturday

With tons of activities on tap this weekend, People Against a Littered State (PALS) is hoping local residents will take a few moments early Saturday to help pitch in in the fight against litter.

PALS will hold its annual Cullman County/City Cleanup this Saturday (April 27) from 8 a.m. until noon, coordinating an all-volunteer effort that, organizers hope, will target every area of the county.

Anyone who wants to volunteer is welcome to join in, and materials are provided for free at several locations throughout Cullman County. Trash bags for pickup will be available at local city and town halls, and dumpsters where collected trash can be disposed will be placed at the following locations:

  • East Elementary School
  • West Elementary School
  • Cullman High School
  • Baileyton town hall
  • Colony town hall
  • Fairview town hall
  • Garden City town hall
  • Holly Pond town hall
  • Hanceville city Hall

The cleanup is part of PALS’ annual statewide campaign, also to be held this Saturday throughout Alabama. Local organizers encourage volunteers to bring their smart phones and post pictures of their cleanup efforts to Facebook, which can be found online by searching the site for “Cullman County PALS.”
