Free dental screenings held for uninsured kids

For Dental Health Month, the Jefferson County Department of Health will host National Give Kids A Smile Day Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free dental care and education will be given to children 5-16 years of age with no dental health insurance. Golf tournament to fund scholarships

The Corner High School Alumni Association is hosting a four-man scramble golf tournament April 13 at Horse Creek Golf Course in Dora. The cost is $80 per player, with a limit of 120 golfers. Mad Hatters luncheon benefits cancer society

The 22nd annual American Cancer Society Mad Hatters Luncheon and Fashion Show is Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Club’s Grand Ballroom in Birmingham. Judging is at 11 a.m. and the parade of hats is at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon includes a fashion show by Gus Mayer.
