Corner girls, Jordan boys win titles

Can you say champions, three times? The Corner Lady Yellow Jacket track team sure can.
For the third straight year, the Corner girls won the Jefferson County small school track meet.
They totaled 235 points, routing runner-up Erwin by 101.
Mortimer Jordan finished third with 110 points.
The Fultondale Lady Wildcat track team finished sixth with 14 points.
In the boy’s meet, the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils defended their 2007 county title as they scored 241 points, well ahead of runner-up Corner, who totaled 168.
Fultondale finished fifth with 30 points.
Mortimer Jordan’s John Kelly Pate was named the MVP of the boy’s meet.
