OAK GROVE 41, CORNER 7: Potent Tigers ground game is killer for Yellow Jackets

Oak Grove piled up a whopping 392 yards rushing, as they rolled over host Corner 41-7 in the last regional game for both teams.

Sophomore running back Jimnarrius Furlow rambled for 193 yards and scored four touchdowns for the Tigers.

Billy Sharption also scored the other two Oak Grove touchdowns, and totaled 95 yards rushing for the game.

Corner stayed in contention early, closing the gap to 13-7 on a 9-yard pass from Zack Price to Aaron Cummins late in the first quarter.

But from there on it was all Oak Grove, as they ran the lead up to 28-7 by halftime.

Price was 13-for-24 for the night, with Cummins catching six passes for 65 yards.

Tyler Beard led the Corner defense with 13 tackles, and Jarred Causey added 10 more.

Yellow Jacket punter Jake Eiland saw more action that he likely wanted, but booted a 65-yard kick midway through the game.

Corner finishes the season at Hayden next week.
