West Point’s volleyball team took home the title at the Falkville Tournament on Saturday.

The Class 5A No. 4 Lady Warriors (33-4) squeaked by 4A No. 9 Deshler (22-25, 25-21, 15-10 in the semifinals before smashing 3A Westminster Christian (25-11, 25-10) in the championship match.

West Point downed the two squads — Westminster Christian (13-25, 25-22, 15-10) and Deshler (25-20, 25-23) — in pool play as well en route to a 4-0 showing.

Lexi Shadix (32 kills, 13 blocks, five aces and five digs), Mackenzie Carter (19 kills, six digs and one block), Josie Huckaby (10 kills, five blocks and three assists), Molly Pendley (nine digs, nine kills and one ace), Sarah Chapman (nine aces and seven digs), Kayla Kilpatrick (25 assists, two aces and one dig), Kyla Kilpatrick (24 assists and three digs), Natalie Pearce (three blocks, one assist and one kill) and Gracie Thompson (three digs, two aces and one assist) all provided key contributions for the Lady Warriors.
