The Cullman Heat Elite 8U softball team won the USSSA Gulf Coast (Class C) National Championship last week.

The team finished with a tremendous 8-1 record, outscoring its opponents 123-68 en route to earning the title.

Members of the championship squad include Sophia Parks, Sophia Self, Paisley Dyer, Heidi Johnson, Emma Chase Mathis, Audrey Stephens, Leyton Holmes, Gracie Graham, Ava Grace Knighton, Charlee Wood and Esme McGinnis.
