ARCHERY: Vinemont Elementary, Vinemont Middle, West Point High secure respective titles at Guntersville Classic

Vinemont Elementary, Vinemont Middle and West Point High took home their respective titles at the Guntersville Classic on Friday.

Vinemont Elementary corralled 3,056 points to squeak by East Elementary (3,000) at the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) competition.

Jayden Friedrich (269), Emily Coats (267), Tucker Robinson (265), Savannah Pack (255), Cheston White (254), Jagger Lee (253), Jeffrey Pressnell (251), Clairebeth Johnson (250), Riley Bramley (249), Joshua Rhodes (248), Andrew Landreth (248) and Colbi Kilpatrick (247) had the counting scores for the Eagles.

Friedrich (female) and Robinson (male) were the top shooters in their respective divisions.

East Elementary’s Easton Walker – second in male division (262) – and Aubrey Corry – third in female division (260) – provided the best performances for their school.

Vinemont clipped Cullman 3,316 to 3,284 in the middle school competition.

Savannah Mann (287), Vance Powell (283), Alexis Sartin (282), Bella Gingrich (278), Dawson Wilhite (277), Erin Anderson (276), Ayden Thomason (276), Ashton Kelley (273), Rylan McRae (271), Trinity Sartin (271), Sydney Ramey (271) and Symon Joiner (271) delivered the top 12 performances for the Eagles.

Mann edged Cullman’s Ayla White (285) as the top female archer in the division, while Cullman’s Will Bolzle (288) was the top male archer in the division.

West Point (3,274) bested Cullman (3,211) in the high school competition. Vinemont (3,195) was third.

Carter Duke, the top male shooter in his division, paced the Warriors with 284 points.

Ronnie Gentry (279), Skyler Rittenberry (279), Shay Sellers (277), Matthew Dunagan (275), Sarah Hudson (275), Emma Tucker-Hillman (274), Lauren Taylor (271), Mallory Campbell (270), Cameron Haynes (267), Zoe Mattox (266) and Marshal Doherty (257) also contributed counting scores.

Cullman’s Kilie Cosper was the top female archer in her division with 281 points.

Vinemont’s Chandler Reese (283) placed second behind Duke. Cullman’s Claude Thomas (278) was fourth.
