ARCHERY: Vinemont Elementary, Cullman Middle and Cullman High claim titles at Alabama State 3D/IBO Tournament

Vinemont Elementary, Cullman Middle and Cullman High are officially state champions.
The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Alabama State 3D/IBO Tournament wrapped up on Saturday at the Civic Center, and those three local schools won the titles in their respective divisions.
Vinemont (1,544) edged East Elementary (1,533) for the top spot. Vinemont had another team place third with 1,380 points. Welti (1,330) was fourth.
Tucker Robinson (271), Andrew Landreth (264), Gavin Phillips (256), Jayden Friedrich (254), Emily Coats (250) and Caroline Miller (249) had the counting six scores for the Eagles.
Robinson was the top male archer in the elementary division.
East Elementary’s Sophia Helms (257) was the top female archer in the elementary division.
Cullman (1,682) won the middle school competition.
Vinemont (1,599) placed second, while Holly Pond (1,318) notched fifth.
Arianna Scott (286), Will Bolzle (283), Briana Willoughby (281), Jack Yeager (280), Hayden Scott (276) and Forrest Calvert (276) delivered the top performances for the Bearcats.
Bolzle was the top archer across all male divisions.
Scott was the top archer across all female divisions.
Cullman triumphed in the high school competition with 1,662 points.
West Point (1,569) and Vinemont (1,516) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Kilie Cosper (283), Jackson Llewellyn (280), Claude Thomas (278), Samantha Johnson (278), Abby Gragg (276) and Drake Speakman (267) contributed strong outings for the Bearcats.
Cosper had the highest female score in the high school division.
Thomas, meanwhile, compiled the third-highest score in the male high school division.
Each competing school was required to use at least two male and two female scores in their team total.
