Anyone interested in the new, upcoming Youth NFL Flag Football League is welcome to attend a meeting Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Cullman Civic Center.
The forum panel will feature Nathan Anderson, executive director of Cullman Parks Recreation & Sports Tourism, Matt Plunkett, Cullman High School’s new varsity football coach, and former NFL football player Devan Wyman.
Cullman native Plunkett came to the Bearcats from Gardendale, where he set a new record by leading his team to four straight playoff appearances in his five years as coach.
Wyman was a lineman drafted by the New England Patriots and played two seasons before signing with the Minnesota Vikings and eventually starting a career in Arena Football. In 2004, he won the Arena Football League Championship with his team, the San Jose SaberCats.
The panel will be on hand to hear ideas or concerns from the community about working with the NFL-sanctioned program.
