(Update) Danville man dies in Alabama 157 wreck

- A tractor involved in a fatal wreck Wednesday morning can be seen on the far left while Alabama State Troopers patrol cars and Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick's grey SUV are on the right. The wreck occurred around 8 a.m. on Alabama Highway 157 at Battleground.
A Danville man has been identified as the victim in an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a tractor this morning on Alabama 157.
James McAbee, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene by Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick.
McAbee was driving a tractor on the highway when his vehicle was struck in the rear by an 18-wheeler, Kilpatrick said.
The accident occurred at the top of Battleground Mountain. Battleground Volunteer Fire Department members joined Alabama State Troopers and Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies at the scene.
Battleground Volunteer Fire Department received the call at 8:06 a.m. The wreck is in the eastbound lanes, and traffic is moving slowly through the area.
