A Hanceville man died overnight after his motorcycle wrecked off Alabama 91, Alabama State Troopers reported.

Michael Joseph Yeager, 31, was driving a 2006 Honda motorcycle when it left the road and overturned around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Trooper Curtis Summerville said. Yeager was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck happened about four miles north of Holly Pond.

Summerville said troopers are continuing to investigate the wreck, but a preliminary report showed speed was a factor.
