Tonight: Cotton Pickin’ Kids at Berkeley Bob’s

Published 3:34 pm Friday, December 7, 2018

It’s cold, it’s raining, and it’s a great night to seek your entertainment indoors. That means it’s the ideal time to catch one of Cullman’s most authentic musical feel-good stories, when the Cotton Pickin’ Kids take the stage tonight at Berkeley Bob’s Coffee House.

It’ll be a crowded stage: the siblings of the Cipollari family — all six of them — will join dad Fabio for a two-hour tour of whimsical bluegrass and gospel, their native musical territory.

Begun as a family pastime, and as a way to give the growing Cipollari brood something fun they could do together, the Cotton Pickin’ Kids started from scratch — and have gone on to become a regular sight at public events and even music competitions in Cullman and across North Alabama.

Tonight’s show begins at 7 p.m., wending its way casually toward a 9 p.m. end. Fabio says there’ll even be some Christmas tunes thrown in the mix, so don’t be surprised if you end up singing along.
