The three-day Rock the South ticket pre-sale netted the young festival’s biggest on-sale opening to date with more than 10,000 tickets sold in just three days.
Officials say they found huge success with an ultra-early pre-sale period from Feb.12-14 at last year’s prices for the upcoming country music festival, as overall ticket prices have increased approximately $20 each across the board.
“I think we’re all still in shock. Over 10,000 tickets sold and 26 states represented,” organizer Shane Quick said. ”Rock the South has truly become a national festival. We feel we will draw people from over 40 states this year. It’s very exciting to welcome people to our great city. We still have plenty of Early Bird tickets left for sale at RocktheSouth.com. We’d like to thank the city of Cullman for being such an amazing home for this festival. We have some exciting new tricks up our sleeve for ‘the biggest party in the south.’”
The festival will be hosted at Heritage Park in Cullman on June 19-20.
The line-up includes country artists Alan Jackson, Sara Evans, Jon Pardi, Eric Paslay, Blackberry Smoke, Big Smo, Travis Tritt, Corey Smith, Tyler Farr, Brantley Gilbert and DeeJay Silver.
Regular general admission tickets for the two-day festival have increased from $49 to $69; platinum tickets have increased from $99 to $119; VIP tickets have increased from $199 to $219. Organizers have also added an Ultimate VIP tier, which will be available for $459. A “Field Party” ticket is also available for $119, which provides access to a 350-person area in front of the stage with private bar access.
Early bird tickets are available now until April 30 and will be sold for $10 above the pre-sale price for every category except Ultimate VIP. Ultimate VIP tickets will be available for $429 at early bird and $459 at regular price.
The platinum ticket tier includes a seat and designated viewing area for the concert. The VIP tier includes a chair in a designated viewing area, paved parking, private air-conditioned restrooms and private festival access. The new Ultimate VIP tier includes reserved front row seating, paved parking, a private bar, a meet-and-greet with an artist of the person’s choosing, air-conditioned private restrooms and a private entrance.
Tickets can be purchased at RocktheSouth.com.
Rock the South has quickly grown into one of the biggest events in Cullman history, hosting popular acts such as Sara Evans, The Band Perry, Little Big Town and Charlie Daniels. Last year’s event brought more than 30,000 people to the city over a two-day span.
