Maira Cardenas named 2015 Wallace State Homecoming Queen

Maira Cardenas, a Demopolis High graduate, is Wallace State Community College’s 2015 Homecoming Queen. She was crowned queen during halftime of the men’s basketball game Thursday night versus Gadsden State.
Cardenas, a diagnostic medical sonography student, was elected by her peers as Homecoming Queen. Cardenas, who hails from Boligee in Greene County, is active on campus, including performing in Wallace State’s Theatre Department. She has also been named to the President’s List multiple times for achieving a 4.0 GPA.
Other members of the 2015 Homecoming Court included Kimberly Crauswell, a general studies major from Warrior who graduated from Good Hope; Chloe Ojeda, a dental assisting/pre-dental hygiene major from Madison, and Kimberly Benitez, a nursing major from Cullman, who is originally from Cleveland, Georgia.
Winter Scoles, Wallace State’s head cheerleader, crowned Cardenas. Wallace State’s SGA sponsored the homecoming activities. For more information about Wallace State, visit wallacestate.edu.
