Gov. Kay Ivey delivered the official announcement today that a joint $1.6 billion Toyota and Mazda manufacturing plant will be located in southeastern Limestone County.

The project is expected to create 4,000 new jobs, perhaps more.

Company officials expect the plant to eventually produce more than 300,000 vehicles annually.
