Kilgo, an Army veteran and 15-year member of the town council, died early Monday morning. Kilgo began serving on the West Point Town Council in 2004 and in 2016 took the oath of office for his third term as mayor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saving Forgotten Warriors, 1528 Peachtree Ln NW, Cullman, AL 35058.

The family encourages the community to support the food pantry founded by Kilgo. Donations may be made throughout the year at the West Point Town Hall.
