Cullman police arrest 5 on drug charges

Five people have been arrested on drug charges by the Cullman Police Department Crime Suppression Unit and the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force.

The arrests stem from separate investigations, with the latest arrests made Thursday.

Cristina Lynn Schafer, 40, and Steven Paul Harris, 39, both of Vinemont, were arrested at their residence and charged with the three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for selling methamphetamine, according to information from the Cullman Police Department.

Harris was on parole at the time of his arrest and he also had outstanding parole violation warrants. Harris remains incarcerated at the Cullman County Detention Center. Schafer has since made bond. 

Two other Cullman County residents were arrested Wednesday and charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, which involved methamphetamine.

Diane Fay Mendez Lopez. 33, and Eric David Goodman, 49, were arrested by the Crime Suppression Unit and state Drug Enforcement Task Force members. Police reported Lopez and Goodman have made bond since the arrests.

Damien Christopher Hausler, 36, was charged on Dec. 26 with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for selling marijuana and Hydrocodone pills, police reported.

Hausler was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center andhas since made bond.
