On Monday, Feb. 27 Cullman Christian School 5th grader Marriah Hain met with Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey at the Capitol after winning 1st place in the state for the Arbor Day poster contest and participated in a tree planting ceremony.

This isn’t the first time Marriah’s art work has been recognized, she took fourth place in the 2022 Alabama Farm-City Poster Contest for 4th-6th grade.
