Busy Bee gains state recognition

The Busy Bee Cafe, celebrating 100 years Saturday, has gained the recognition of the Alabama Legislature and Gov. Kay Ivey.
State Sen. Garlan Gudger, R-Cullman, and Rep. Randall Shedd, R-Fairview, presented a resolution recognizing the Busy Bee to owner Kitty Spears Saturday at the restaurant.
A celebration event is planned Saturday from 2-9 p.m., including carnival rides and live music.
