Cooperative weather and great word of mouth assured a merry Saturday for crafters and shoppers at Jones Chapel, where the first-ever Merry Market Christmas show kept the community center bustling right up until the closing minutes. 

Christie Thomas, the event’s organizer, said the event was so successful that it’s hard to envision not doing it again next year and beyond. “It’s just been wonderful, and I’ve had such positive response from vendors and everybody who’s come out,” she said. “I’m really proud of our little community.”
