Cullman County Schools and AmFirst recognize a teacher and staff member each month of the school year who is going above and beyond in their profession.

Marrie Gardner is the STEAM teacher at Fairview Elementary. STEAM is an acronym which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

“Ms. Gardner consistently goes above and beyond her regular job requirements,” Robert Strane, Fairview Elementary Assistant Principal, said. “Ms. Gardner is deserving of this award because she loves her students, is passionate about their success, and her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure they have the best environment to thrive.”

Sheila Morgan is the CNP Manager at Welti Elementary. Morgan is in her third year in her current role, but prior to Welti, she worked at the Hanceville lunchroom for more than 30 years.

“She has been a dedicated, dependable, hard worker since 1990,” Emily Smith, Cullman County Schools CNP Manager, said. “She has served thousands of students over the past 35 years and I would like to recognize her dedication,” said Smith.

AmFirst sponsors this program. Each teacher and staff member of the month receive a $100 gift card.
