LOCAL SPORTS: West Point’s Chapman named Athlete of the Week

Maddox Chapman has been a steady presence for West Point’s varsity boys so far this season.
Take this past week for example — when the rising junior scored 33 points against Hanceville, 19 points against Fairview and 15 points against Gulf Shores.
On top of all that, Chapman also garnered 22 rebounds, 15 steals, six blocks and five assists across those three tilts while shooting 57 percent from the field.
He is The Times’ Athlete of the Week.
