It’s a bit on the late side (please, don’t ask why), but The North Jefferson News is pleased to once again select the best football players in our coverage area to be part of the 2010 NJN All-Star High School Football Team.

And there were a host of standouts this year, from Class 6A Gardendale all the way down to Tabernacle Christian’s eight-man program.

We do things a little differently in that we do not necessarily pick just one player at a particular posiiton. We may pick two or more, or none at all. That’s partly because many players play multiple posiitons on both sides of the ball.

So with all that in mind, here’s our picks for best on the gridiron in 2010.
