There has been a lot of talk about tasers in the news in the past few weeks.

There have also been a lot of police officers put on paid leave because of their use of tasers.

Let’s get real, people. Cops have a dangerous job. I know that there are police officers who abuse their privileges, but that is not the norm.

If someone were causing a riot beside you and you were in fear of your health or your life, wouldn’t you like for the police to step in and be able to help keep the situation under control?

We are getting to a place where cops won’t be able to do anything to catch criminals. Then, only the bad guys have guns and they are the only ones hurting someone.

Let’s also be honest about the weapon of choice. It is a taser, not a rifle.

These people are not put in any long-term physical pain. It is only a shock that last a few moments. There are two alternatives to this action.

We can either let the police shock these people and bring them under control, or we can take all control away from the police and let the crazed individual have the control.

They may have a gun or bomb, but what can we do? God forbid that we put them in a little pain to keep the rest of society at peace.

The college student that got tased was getting out of hand. There were things that happened that weren’t caught on tape that would probably change your mind about the taser. Police officers have the right to be safe.

There was also a lady that was attacking the officers because she was too drunk to understand what she was doing.

By all means, tase her so that she doesn’t end up grabbing one of your firearms and gunning down an innocent bystander.

I think if you are in a public place and you start a ruckus or if you are drunk and acting a fool, then it should be understood that if you get out of hand, there is a chance that you may be tased by the local law enforcement authorities. Don’t be surprised and don’t be dismayed because you have been warned.

What is the answer to all of this?

Just act right and you don’t have to worry about getting tased. There are extreme circumstances when people have been hurt by cops when it wasn’t necessary.

If that is the case, then that should be handled by the law, but if they are just doing their job and using the lowest dosage of force that is necessary, let them do their job with some type of security.

I would rather the good guys use their guns than the bad guys.
