The Christmas season is officially under way in the city of Cullman as the annual Christkindlmarkt Parade traveled through downtown Cullman toward Depot Park Friday night.

The city has expanded the Christkindlmarkt footprint which has allowed for several new features including the largest ferris wheel in Alabama, as well as the Christkidnl Express, an “enchanting little train ride.”

Be sure to check out the Kinderplatz (Santa’s village full of activities for children), Old-fashioned, German-style, pop-up Christmas street market with artists, craftspersons and other makers of gift-type goods and an abundance of food.
