The Gardendale Historical Society will hold their regular meeting Saturday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at the Gardendale Civic Center. Everyone is welcome to attend. The guest speaker will be Gene Gravlee, retired Alabama State Trooper, Alabama Cemetery Preservation Alliance Representative for Walker County, history researcher and enthusiast. The Gardendale Farmer’s Market located in the K-Mart shopping lot will have a free tomato sandwich day on July 21 and a professional knife/scissor sharpening on July 28 for a small fee. All vegetables at the Farmer’s Market are locally grown.
