Man charged with trafficking pot

Suspicious traffic complaints to the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) from citizens about the area around Highway 91 in Colony led to the arrest of a local man Tuesday morning.
Justin Marcell Brown, was taken into custody by officers at the Shell station located at exit 291 off the interstate and was charged with trafficking in cannabis. While on scene, officers recovered a little less than three pounds of marijuana, $4,502 in money and a 45 Taurus hand gun.
Assistant Cullman City Police Chief Craig Green commended CNET for their efforts and continued to ask the public for their help in support in getting drugs off the streets.
Brown remains in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
