The North Jefferson News has hired Harvey Webb as editor, effective Wednesday.

Webb replaces former NJN editor Melanie Patterson, who has taken a position with The Daily Mountain Eagle of Jasper.

Webb was formerly the NJN editor from 1998 to 2005, when he left to go into the real estate business.

In addition, Danielle Pelkey was named the NJN general manager. Pelkey has served as office manager at the NJN for eight years.
