Donald G. McCarley, age 64 of Morris, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Washington McCarley and a brother, Harvey McCarley.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 44 years, Damaris “Dee” Johnson McCarley, two daughters, Kristy McCarley Armstrong (Kenneth) and DeAnna McCarley Smith (Chris); three grandchildren, Karley Renea Armstrong, Keegan McCarley Armstrong, and Aidan Joseph Smith; his mother, Wilma Avery McCarley; devoted sister-in-law, June Johnson Bailey; and many other loving relatives from the Johnson, McCarley, and Avery families.

Donald was a loyal Band Dad at MJHS from 1984 until 1995 and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a very talented artist and an outstanding craftsman. He served as president of NJ Saddle Club and was owner of DME Industrial Services. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 pm with funeral services Wednesday, November 21, at 1 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. Interment will follow in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery in Fultondale.
