The second annual Barking at the Moon festival is taking vendor applications for the Oct. 27 event. The cost is $15 for nonprofit organizations and $25 for vendors, plus an extra $25 for electricity. Spaces are 10×10 feet. Proceeds benefit the Fultondale Bark Park and pet activities. Get applications at eventbrite.com.

Registration coming up at Fultondale High

Fultondale High School parents and students must bring completed packets and a current utility bill for residency verification. Registration is: July 30, sixth grade, 8–9:30 a.m. July 31, twelfth grade, 8–9:30 a.m.; eleventh grade, 10–11:30 a.m., tenth grade, 1–2:30 p.m. Aug. 1, ninth grade, 8–9:30 a.m.; eighth grade, 10–11:30 a.m., seventh grade, 1–2:30 p.m.

Registration coming up at Mortimer Jordan

Mortimer Jordan High School registration is: July 30 for twelfth grade, 9 a.m. to noon; tenth grade, 3-6 p.m. Aug. 1; eleventh grade, 9 a.m. to noon; 9th grade, 3-6 p.m. Bring copy of lease, photo ID, two utility bills. Registration packets available in the main office Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Freshman orientation is Aug. 13, 1-4:30 p.m.

Market to feature crafts, snow cones

Thursday at the Gardendale Farmers Market, Gardendale First Baptist Church will do crafts with children, and His and Her Plumbing will provide free snow cones. The market is at the Gardendale Civic Center, 1-5 p.m.
