Three injured in Gardendale domestic shooting incident

- Gardendale Police surround a house on Country Meadow Road in the northern section of the city. A domestic shooting incident resulted in two people being shot, one injured critically, and the assailant also critically injured from stab wounds.
A domestic shooting incident in north Gardendale has resulted in three people being transported to University Hospital in Birmingham.
Two females were shot by a male assailant, who himself was reportedly stabbed. The male and one of the females are in critical condition, according to Gardendale Police Chief Mike Walker. The assailant is considered to be in custody while undergoing treatment. Walker did not release names of those involved.
The incident took place at a house in the 5800 block of Country Meadow Road at about 3:20 p.m. Walker said his department was called by neighbors who heard gunshots.
The house is in a neighborhood located behind Jack’s restaurant at the Mt. Olive Rd. interchange of Interstate 65.
