Rebecca D. Ilarraza, 24, was arrested for two counts of production plus two counts of possession of child pornography.

Blount County Sheriff’s deputies had originally gone to Marshall County in March to serve the warrant against Thadeus Michael Porter, 23, of Boaz. During that arrest, deputies found marijuana on him and added a second-degree possession charge, according to a report in The Sand Mountain Reporter.

That led to a search of Porter’s house and belongings, during which child porn images were found on his mobile phone and a laptop computer. After further investigation into a lead, Ilarraza was linked to the making of the pornography.

“A family member came forward to tell us about the child pornography, and we followed up on that,” Blount County District Attorney Pamela L. Casey said. “It was really nothing we knew about until the bad-check warrant.”

Boaz police said that the images were of children aged between 9 and 16, both male and female. They don’t know if the children depicted are from Marshall County, Blount County or elsewhere.

Porter was jailed in Marshall County on $1 million bond, charged with two counts of child pornography possession.

Ilarraza has waived grand jury proceedings. The next procedure in the case has not yet been scheduled and the investigation is continuing, Casey said.

Anyone who believes they have information on the children involved is asked to call Casey’s office at 205-625-4171, or Boaz Police at 256-593-6812.
