Wes Crawford pitched a complete-game five-hitter, as Mortimer Jordan beat Shades Valley 6-1 Thursday in the fifth-place bracket of the Jefferson County Schools Baseball Tournament.

Crawford struck out three and gave up no walks.

Brandon Spears smacked a two-run double, and Connor Moon hit a run-scoring triple for the Blue Devils. Catcher Taylor Goodwin was 2-for-3 and scored a run.

Austin Rivers was the losing pitcher, going four innings despite allowing just three hits and two walks. Marques Brown scored the Mounties’ only run.
