Starter Jackson Tavel pitched three innings of one-hit baseball as Corner defeated Minor 7-1 in the ninth-grade bracket of the Jefferson County Schools Baseball Tournament on Thursday.

Jack Robbins and Josh Walker each had two hits for the Yellow Jackets.

The Tigers scored their lone run on a Corner errorin the fifth inning.

Corner hosts Oak Grove in the ninth-place final on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
