New update: Suspect charged with murder, two other charges in shooting just east of Pinson

The suspect in a shooting Sunday near Pinson has now been formally charged with murder and two other counts.
Cedric Devon Lowe, 43, of Center Point was charged Tuesday been charged with murder, attempted murder and certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol in the killing of Tyna Delmay Spivery, whom the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says was Lowe’s girlfriend. (Lowe was originally believed to be Spivery’s husband.)
Spivery was killed at about noon when a man shot her and her sister at her home on Kathy Circle, just east of the Pinson city limits and just west of Clay in unincorporated Jefferson County.
Her sister was also shot and wounded, and was taken to a Birmingham hospital in critical condition, where she remains. She has not been identified.
Lowe was captured by Trussville Police shortly after the shooting. He is being held by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office pending former charges of murder.
