Anthony Caleb Chapman

Funeral services for Anthony Caleb Chapman, 18, of Baileyton will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Etha Baptist Church, the Rev. Tim Lipsey officiating, with burial in Welcome Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Chapman died Tuesday, March 28 at his residence. He was born on Dec. 7, 1987, in Decatur to Anthony Craig and Linda Thomas Chapman of Baileyton. He was a student.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bertie Thomas and Sonny Chapman.

Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Lindsey Chapman and Haley Chapman; his grandparents, Hulen Thomas and Janice Chapman; his great-grandparents, Bud and Inez Chapman; his aunts and uncles, Debbie (Ronnie) Bright, Gary (Ceisha) Thomas, Kathy (Mike) Smith, Danny Thomas, David (Sandy) Thomas, Ricky (Sonya) Thomas, Chris (Missy) Chapman and Todd (Tracy) Chapman; and a host of cousins and other relatives, and many, many classmates and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wes Smith, Aaron Chapman, Jeff Shumate, Nick Chapman, Wade Smith, Josh Chapman, Nathan Thomas and Kody Chapman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Swindall and Kody Wright.

Visitation was Wednesday.



Rev. Price Robinson

The Rev. Price Robinson, 78, of Vinemont died Wednesday, March 29, 2006.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.



James Ralph Sims

Funeral services for James Ralph Sims, 79, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at Moss-Service Chapel, Randy Burtram and Ted Cramer officiating, with burial in Holly Pond Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sims died Tuesday, March 28 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born on May 6, 1926, in Holly Pond to William Jefferson and Vianna Shultz Sims. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater and a a funeral attendant at Moss-Service for over 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Faye Tidwell Sims; a daughter, Kathy Murphree; eight sisters, Mertis Scott, Odell Howard, Leona Stancil, Viola Sims, Velma Clark, Elvia Garrison, Alene Scott and Idamae Clark; and five brothers, Lake Sims, Garfield Sims, Lawrence Sims, Jake Sims and D.L. Sims.

Survivors include a son, Jeff (Lisa) Sims of Cullman; four grandchildren, Kim (Timmy) Puckett, Kelly Murphree, Brittinie Sims and Melia Sims; a great-granddaughter, Kinlee Puckett; two sisters, Ruth Shull of Cullman and Dula Parrish of Holly Pond; a brother, Earl Sims of Birmingham; and a host of other close family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.



Sherry R. Herring

Memorial services for Sherry R. Herring, 58, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Cullman, located on Second Ave.

Charter Funeral Home in Calera is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Herring passed away on Sunday, March 26.

Survivors include her three sons, Major Terry (Keri) Herring of Crestview, Fla., Master Sgt. Kerry (Kara) Herring of Jacksonville, Fla., and Derry (Maryjane) Herring of Birmingham; and nine grandchildren, Trevor and Trent of Mobile, Rebecca of Topeka, Kan., Johnny and Kaitlin of Jacksonville, Fla., and Wriley, Drew, Griffin and Olivia of Birmingham.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network).

Sherry was a friend, teacher, mother, grandmother, leader and Christian! Her inspiration helped family and friends to set and achieve goals that seemed at times impossible. It is a comfort to know that she will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
