2024 FCCLA All County Sweet Potato Cook-Off winners announced

Cullman County schools students met Nov. 5, at the Cotton Creek Venue in Cullman for the FCCLA County Sweet Potato Cook-off. The Cullman Sweet Potato Growers Association, Farm City and the venue sponsored the event. The sweet potato cook-off had four categories: casseroles, bread, pies and desserts.

In the casserole category, Vinemont’s Katie Holmes placed 1st, West Point’s Sierra Cranford placed 2nd, Cullman’s Evy Hayes placed 3rd and Hattie Graham placed 4th.

In the bread category, Cold Springs’ Ruthy Boggan placed 1st, Cullman’s Aubrey Murphy placed 2nd, Cold Springs’ Lainey Gerstman placed 3rd and Vinemont’s Autumn Godwin placed 4th.

In the desserts category, Cold Springs’ Savannah Bischoff  placed 1st, West Point’s Taylor Tolbert placed 2nd, Cold Springs’ Rebecca Baggett placed 3rd and Cold Springs’ Baylee Dye placed 4th.

In the pies category, CATA’s Nathan Butler placed 1st, Good Hope’s Cammi Graves placed 2nd, West Point’s Lilly Folds placed 3rd, and Good Hope’s DJ Pool placed 4th.
