The Gardendale farmers’ market had its grand opening ribbon cutting on Thursday.

The market is in the KMart parking lot, and is open every Thursday through August, 2-6 p.m.

Attending were, among others, Greater Gardendale Chamber of Commerce treasurer Michelle Beasley, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Senior Pastor David Moerbe, market manager Richard Dender, Gardendale Mayor Othell Phillips, Chamber Executive Director Kris Marshall, Chamber President Robert Cloud, Gardendale City Council member Peggy Tumlin, and Karen Dunn of Keller Williams Realty
