The City of Warrior is not considering increasing a police jurisdiction tax for businesses located within the city.

According to officials at City Hall, Warrior already collects a 3-percent sales tax from businesses within the city.

The Warrior City Council meets tonight, Jan. 11, to vote on whether to charge a 1.5-percent sales tax in the police jurisdiction outside the city, which would include parts of Blount County.
