Even through a few downpours, there was more than enough sunshine, food, music and plenty of fun activities to draw thousands to downtown Cullman for the annual Alabama Strawberry Festival on Friday and Saturday.
Along with fresh strawberries, food vendors offered their own spin with strawberry menu items. Crowds were treated to the popular doggie pawgeant, a strawberry drink chugging contest, strawberry pie eating contest and more than 80 artisan vendors selling strawberry-themed food, handcrafted collectibles, boutique-style clothing, and there were plenty of activities for young an old alike, including the Ninja Nation Obstacle Course.
