Area students recognized for collegiate achievements

Mississippi State University has released its fall 2024 President’s and Dean’s Lists.
Area students making the list include: Shea Eaton of Cullman, Isabella Warden and Garrett Riggs of Hanceville, Sarah Dockery of Vinemont and Kaden Lackey and John Quillin of Arab. Isabel Newby of Bremen was named to the Dean’s List
President’s List students achieved a 3.80 or better grade-point average, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C. Dean’s List students must have achieved a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.79, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.
Jaxson Branham, of Blountsville, was named to the Lincoln Memorial University Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2024. To be placed on the Dean’s List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 or higher grade-point-average for the semester. Branham is seeking a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Abilene Christian University has announced Kaci McKean, a senior Art major from Hanceville, has been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll students for the Fall 2024 semester. Students earn Dean’s Honor Roll recognition by achieving a 3.6 or higher GPA while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.
