Holly Pond’s Travis Barnett sped to a victory in the varsity boys race at Thursday’s inaugural Vinemont Invitational with a time of 17:34.47.

The junior standout, who also won at the Chickasaw Trails Invitational earlier this month, spearheaded a strong local performance that saw runners in The Times’ coverage area take the top six spots.
