Michael Sumners kicked a 31-yard field goal as time expired to lift Hartselle to a 10-7 road win over Cullman on Friday night. 

Cullman (3-4, 1-3 in Class 6A, Region 7) led 7-0 at halftime thanks to a 1-yard scoring run by Cooper Loftin early in the first quarter. 

The home team’s cushion held until midway through the fourth quarter when the No. 9 Tigers (5-1, 3-0) tied it up following a touchdown toss from Noah Lee to Cain Falciani. 

Cullman hosts Columbia next week.
